A number of kraken cults have appeared in Brightshore and the surrounding area. According to one party of adventurers that pursued a ship stolen by cultists, the kraken itself lies sleeping deep under the edge of the Fog, not far outside Founders Bay. Even while asleep, it seems to have the ability to reach out and communicate with people telepathically.
