Attunement Not required

Usable by a Cleric, Monk, Paladin, or Divine Soul Sorcerer.

These charms consist of elaborate incantations written on slips of blessed paper. They can be created and used only by clerics, monks, paladins, and divine soul sorcerers. They can only be created at a Hon'nese shrine or temple, and they lose their powers if removed from Hon'ni. There are many varieties of ofuda.

Ofuda of Anchoring. Common (crafting cost: 25 gp, 5 days). One creature within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame. On a failed save, for 1 minute or until your concentration ends, whenever the target creature attempts to teleport or shift planes, it must first succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC.

Ofuda of Clarity. Common (crafting cost: 25 gp, 5 days). One creature within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame. On a failed save, the target creature reverts to its true form and, for 1 minute or until your concentration ends, whenever the creature attempts to change forms, it must first succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC.

Ofuda of Holding. Rare (crafting cost: 2,500 gp, 15 days). One creature within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame. On a failed save, the target creature is paralyzed for 1 minute or until your concentration ends. At the end of each of its turns, it may make a Charisma saving throw against your spell DC, ending the effect on a success.

Ofuda of Protection. Common (crafting cost: 25 gp, 5 days). When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to activate this ofuda. Make a melee spell attack roll. If the result is equal to or higher than the opponent’s attack roll, the opponent’s attack misses or, if the opponent scored a critical hit, the effect is reduced to a normal hit. Regardless of the outcome, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame.

Ofuda of Radiance. Common (crafting cost: 25 gp, 5 days). One creature within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame. On a failed save, the creature takes radiant damage equal to 2d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier and is unable to recover hit points until the start of your next turn, at which point the ofuda is consumed.

Ofuda of Silence. Common (crafting cost: 25 gp, 5 days). One creature within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a successful save, the ofuda is consumed in a puff of radiant flame. On a failed save, the target creature is unable to speak or cast spells requiring verbal components for 1 minute or until your concentration ends. At the end of each of its turns, it may make a Charisma saving throw against your spell DC, ending the effect on a success.
